Creating a plan for personal time doubles the odds that you will actually strive for work-life balance, granting you more time for the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">activities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you want to do.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Part One: The Plan to\u00a0Activities\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>1) Create a list of <\/b><b><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">activities<\/a>\u00a0<\/b><b>you want to do<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span> The <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">activity <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">doesn&#8217;t have to be time-consuming, complicated, or expensive. The next section outlines a few ways in which you can free up additional time for your <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">activities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><b>Part 2 &#8211; Creating Time for Activities:<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Learn Your Employer\u2019s Policies.<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Inquire about your company\u2019s policies on flextime and working from home. If you\u2019re a strong performer, you have a better chance of negotiating an arrangement that works for both you and your employer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Use Technology to Your Advantage.<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Technology should help make your life easier, not control it. Ban technology at certain times so that you can focus on your activity, family or friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Telecommute.<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Telecommuting a few times a week could help free up valuable hours. You\u2019ll be able to focus on work for long stretches at a time and use the extra hours to meet personal responsibilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Learn to Say \u201cNo.\u201d <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember that you can respectfully decline offers to run the PTA or serve on an extra committee at work. When you stop doing things out of guilt, you\u2019ll find more time to focus on the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">activities <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that truly bring you <a href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">joy<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Protect Your Private Time.<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Allow yourself to daydream in the subway or appreciate good weather on your walk to work. If you don\u2019t allow yourself pockets of personal time, you\u2019ll become too burned out to fully appreciate any part of your life&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After planning out your <\/span><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/gotime.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">activities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, don&#8217;t forget to ask for support!
