I&#8217;m going to take it step by step.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Phase one<\/strong><\/span> is going to be <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>preparation<\/strong><\/span> of <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>equipment\u00a0and plan<\/strong><\/span>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Phase two<\/strong><\/span> is going to be starting the <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>workout and nutrition<\/strong><\/span>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Phase three<\/strong><\/span> will be <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>assessing results<\/strong><\/span> and figuring out how to <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>maintain or improve<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let&#8217;s start with Phase one: Preparation<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Equipment needed:<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The exercises can be done from a gym, outside or at home. If you&#8217;re not going to be exercising at the gym, then just get all the equipment, it will save you time and hustle. Intended to\u00a0burn high amounts of fat.<br \/>\nBody weight and hypertrophy (muscle and strength building) training. Helps increase strength, power, hypertrophy and anaerobic endurance.<\/p>\n<p>The resistance training requires to follow a circuit format. Which consists of two rounds of two different circuits, each lasting seven minutes.<\/p>\n<p>In each circuit, four exercises need to be completed as many times as possible\u00a0in seven minutes.<br \/>\nWill be exercising\u00a0for the entire seven minutes<br \/>\nOnly rest\u00a0when the timer goes off<\/p>\n<p>In between each circuit, I&#8217;ll take 60\u00a0seconds to rest. Drink water between rounds as necessary, but not too much to not feel sick.<\/p>\n<p><em> Note:<\/em> Prior to beginning the\u00a0resistance training, I&#8217;ll warm up with a\u00a05 minute jog. Being warm helps to lubricate joints, keep muscles safe for exercise and decrease injury risk.<\/p>\n<h4><em>Cardio training\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Two different styles of cardio:<\/p>\n<p>LISS (low intensity steady state) for example:<br \/>\n35-45 minutes of walking or jogging<br \/>\n35-45 minutes of low resistance cycling<br \/>\n35-45 minutes on the cross-trainer at the same speed as a fast-paced walk<\/p>\n<p>HIIT (high intensity interval training) consists of two periods, typically called the \u2018rest\u2019 and \u2018work\u2019 periods. The intervals 30:30 set up. This means sprint at 90-100% capacity (12-17 kmph\/7.5-10.5 mph) for 30\u00a0seconds and then be at a stand still (or slow walk) for 30 seconds, and repeat.<br \/>\nThis is typically done on a treadmill or bike in a gym over a period of 10-15 minutes.<\/p>\n<h4><em>Rehabilitation (stretching)\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Stretching plays a big\u00a0role in recovery, injury prevention, and flexibility.<br \/>\nIn addition to stretching at the end of each workout, Kayla recommend that you complete at least one rehabilitation session every week: a session that is entirely dedicated to stretching and\/or foam rolling.<\/p>\n<h4>Structuring Weekly Workouts<\/h4>\n<p>The workouts are divided\u00a0into\u00a0training blocks: Weeks 1-4, Weeks 5-8, and Weeks 9-12.<br \/>\nAlso, four weeks of \u2018pre-training\u2019 for individuals who are\u00a0beginners (I will need that since I haven&#8217;t\u00a0had time to exercise lately while working on my startup <a href=\"https:\/\/voxsnap.com\/\">VoxSnap<\/a>).<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>To insure\u00a0progress throughout this training program, Kayla uses a technique called progressive overload, a technique that involves changing the\u00a0training frequency or resistance in order to continually challenge the\u00a0body.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Workouts Plan:<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PRE-TRAINING<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WEEKS 1-2<\/span><br \/>\n2-3 sessions of resistance training<br \/>\n1-2 sessions of LISS cardio training<br \/>\n1 rehabilitation (stretch) session<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WEEKS 3-4<\/span><br \/>\n2-3 sessions of resistance training<br \/>\n2-3 sessions of LISS cardio training<br \/>\n1 rehabilitation (stretch) session<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">TRAINING<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WEEKS 1\u20134<\/span><br \/>\n2\u20133 sessions of resistance training<br \/>\n2\u20133 sessions of LISS cardio training<br \/>\n1 rehabilitation (stretch) session<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WEEKS 5\u20138<\/span><br \/>\n2\u20133 sessions of resistance training<br \/>\n3-4 sessions of LISS cardio training<br \/>\n1 rehabilitation (stretch) session<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WEEKS 9\u201312<\/span><br \/>\n3\u20134 sessions of resistance training<br \/>\n2\u20133 sessions LISS cardio training<br \/>\n1\u20132 sessions HIIT cardio training<br \/>\n1\u20132 rehabilitation (stretch) session(s)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-720\" src=\"https:\/\/gotime.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-16-at-11.31.50-AM.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-16-at-11-31-50-am\" width=\"425\" height=\"227\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Tracking Progress:<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Progress photos is\u00a0primary form of measurement<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Without visible record of progress, it is very easy to lose motivation.<\/li>\n<li>Set a phone\/ calendar reminder every four weeks to retake the\u00a0photos (every fourth Monday morning straight after waking up).<\/li>\n<li>Take\u00a01 front view and 1 side view<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Body weight is\u00a0secondary<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rule\u00a0of thumb: Check weight every fourth Monday morning\u00a0straight after waking up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Before moving to Phase two (the actual workouts &amp; nutrition), I reviewed these\u00a0chart one more time:<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to workout:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two different circuits repeated twice each<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the 4 given exercises as many times as possible within 7 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Take 60\u00a0seconds rest between circuits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-721\" src=\"https:\/\/gotime.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Screen-Shot-2017-05-16-at-12.11.15-PM.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2017-05-16-at-12-11-15-pm\" width=\"243\" height=\"409\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to Eat:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Kayla has the HELP Diet Plan to accommodate the BBG. I looked at it and chose for my diet\u00a0the\u00a0foods I prefer. When it comes to meats\u00a0I try to avoid &#8220;heavy&#8221; and stick to the &#8220;lean&#8221;. That&#8217;s why the only meats I include are: chicken, turkey, fish (salmon), seafood (shrimp).<\/p>\n<p>Below I&#8217;ll list my go to foods.
