Reduce Inflammation with these 6 Tips

That being said, make sure to get your body moving each day! This can be done by walking, jogging, going to the gym, or even doing some yoga and pilates in front of the TV. We are all busy, but we aren’t too busy to do what is right for our bodies.

2. Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 Fatty acids help to reduce inflammation as well as your risk for other diseases such as heart disease which is the cause of around 600,000 deaths each year in America alone. Fish such as salmon and tuna are high in these fatty acids. If you are not a fan of fish, make sure to take Omega-3 Fatty Acid supplements to help reduce inflammation and prevent disease.

3. Eat your Greens

To reduce inflammation, fill up on kale, spinach, and other dark leafy greens to get extra vitamins in your diet. Dark greens are high in vitamin E which has been proven to help reduce inflammation. Add a spinach salad to two meals of your day to help introduce more greens into your diet.

4. Get Spicy

Ginger and tumeric are two spices that are well known for reducing inflammation. Throw these two in a blender with some spinach, mango, and a banana and you will have a tasty inflammation-reducing treat!

5. Drink Green Tea

Green tea is a natural anti-inflammatory and also helps to detoxify your body of any unwanted chemicals. Drink a cup a day to help detoxify your body and get a much-needed natural caffeine boost!

6. Don’t Forget to Sleep

Getting the proper amount of sleep is very important to reducing inflammation. Make sure to get about 8-9 hours of sleep each night. To ensure that you are reaping the benefits of this sleep, get and eye mask or dark curtains to cut as much light as possible from the room, and try not to use your electronics before bed or right when you wake up. This will help your boy get quality sleep and you will feel much more rested.
